About This Bisquick Breakfast Casserole

Do you know how the best ideas often come unexpectedly? Well, that’s exactly what happened to me when I crafted this easy to make Bisquick breakfast casserole.

I had just got up to start my day and I was craving biscuits and sausage gravy, but I was also craving eggs, bacon sausage, and cheese. That’s when it hit me. Why not combine all of those flavors into a savory breakfast casserole bake.

How to Make the Best Bisquick Breakfast Casserole Recipe Ever

If you’re like me, your time is usually limited in the early morning. Therefore, breakfast or brunch should be easy and stress-free.

You may want to try this recipe on the weekend when you have a little extra time on your hands. The best thing about this breakfast casserole dish is that it only takes a few minutes to warm up and you can have leftovers for days.

Instead of just combining all the ingredients and sticking it in the oven to bake, I thought it would be more interesting to layer this breakfast casserole.

The base of this breakfast bake starts with the Bisquick layer. You could make your own biscuit dough or buy premade biscuit dough. For our breakfast bake casserole, we chose to use Bisquick.

Adding Multiple Layers to your Breakfast Bake Casserole

When I came up with this delicious recipe, I decided that I wanted more of an omelet than just straight up egg. So, for the next layer, we add an even layering of cheese, bacon, sausage, mushroom, and red pepper.

From there, we add in the whisked eggs and milk mix. Make sure the eggs are whisked well before adding to the casserole dish.

The last layer includes a heaping of homemade sausage gravy smothered with cheddar cheese.
