Chimichurri Steak Tacos Recipe Inspiration
Food festival season is upon us once again. I love this time of year because you can get out in the warm sun and indulge in foods you might not see on a normal basis
One of my favorite movies is Chef, starring Jon Favreau. In the movie, Favreau is a famous, talented chef who loses his job and decides to start a food truck business to get by.
It’s really funny and all of the food in the movie looks so amazing! It made me want to start a food truck business serving these scrumptious steak tacos for hundreds- no, scratch that- THOUSANDS of customers.

How to Make Chimichurri Taco Sauce
We start this chimichurri steak taco off with a large tortilla shell and a deliciously marinated medium cooked flank steak.
To complement the steak, we add a drizzle of chimichurri sauce for some Argentinian delight.
We top it all off with a generous heaping of Queso Blanco cheese and cabbage, cilantro, lime slaw and a touch of pineapple salsa.
What makes these steak street tacos so good is how quickly they can be prepared and with simple ingredients.
For those of us who have busy lives, these are great meals for on the go!
Nutrition for Steak Tacos
The flank steak is packed with protein and other than the tortillas having a relatively high volume of carbs, this is a fairly healthy meal.
If you were to use a low carb tortilla such as Flatout Bread, these would be perfect for anyone watching their weight.
Sides to Go With Flank Steak Tacos
If nutrition is not a concern, fluffy Spanish rice would pair nicely with this. Chips and salsa or pico de gallo would also be a nice choice.
I like to pair my steak tacos recipe with a good Mexican beer like Dos Equis.
It reminds me of the quality food truck tacos you would get at a food festival.
