I was recently given a superb introduction on how to cook lamb loin chops. What a way to start aweekend. My husband purchased lamb meat from a reputable meat dealer on Thursday and we enjoyed every last one of them on Friday evening.
Our fabulous lamb dinner
Usually, when we have dinner, it is mainly about our conversation. The food was so tasty and delicious that the focus was on consuming the lamb chops grilled to a perfect medium-rare temperature. I’ve had lamb burgers but the flavor in a lamb chop is so much fuller and the juices from the grilled meat permeate your taste buds to the point where you want more. The potatoes were a nice complement to the marinated lamb chops. The meal was a gift. Now I understood my husband’s love for lamb loin chops.

Side items that go well with lamb
Our lamb meat was served with pan-fried red potatoes coated in garlic, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Other side foods that will go well with your lamb include asparagus, green beans, mashed potatoes, side salad, peas, and carrots to name a few.
What is the minimum cooking temperature for lamb
Most lamb is cooked on the rarer side of the equation. For instance, these lamb chops were cooked to medium rare or 145 degrees but the minimum temperature for ground lamb should be equal to or greater than 160 degrees. Luckily, this recipe for lamb chops only takes about 4 minutes per side on high heat.
